Free Oncology Yoga class runs each Thursday at 11:15am. Your teachers (above) will bring gentle yoga, chair yoga and sound healing to your classes.
Christina Phipps Foundation and the Yoga Den in Jacksonville, FL have been working together since Christina Phipps graduated from her 200 hour program. Former CPF board member Terri Morrison graduated from Yoga Den and went on to found Mindful Motion Yoga. Beth Daugherty, CPF Executive Director and board member also graduated 200 hour and 300 hour YTT from the Yoga Den in Mandarin.
Since 2011 we have offered many types of CPF yoga at the Yoga Den in Mandarin: Vinyasa, Gentle, and Chair Yoga.
Our Chair Yoga class is designed specifically for the cancer community. You will learn how to do yoga sitting on a chair or using the chair as a prop. If you always wanted to try yoga but have some concerns about your flexibility, balance or falling, chair yoga is a good place to begin. Beginners to yoga will be happy to know it is easier to learn yoga sitting on a chair. In chair yoga you can focus on your movements, yoga postures, breathing techniques and meditation from your chair.

The Christina Phipps Foundation and the Yoga Den have been collaborating for over ten years to bring free yoga classes to the cancer community. Numerous experienced teachers have taught CPF at the Yoga Den over ten years. The Yoga Den has expanded to many locations in Florida and we have taught CPF classes at a few of these.

Christina Phipps Foundation oncology yoga classes are always free. We have trained nearly 300 yoga teachers. We are currently training all over the Southeastern USA. We are grateful for the support of the Yoga Den management and teachers over the years.
