Cheryl graduated from CPF Oncology Yoga training at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL on August 25, 2024. She will be teaching her karma yoga Oncology Yoga class in the fall of 2024.
In her words:
I am a recent Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, Certified Yoga Teacher (RYT) 200-hours. My interests include Ayurveda, Ashtanga, Yin and Vinyasa flow.
Yoga has always been a special interest of mine. I often wonder if I was a Yogi in another lifetime. I know my Yoga journey will be an ever-evolving process. Most recently I had the opportunity to dive into Oncology Yoga with the Christina Phipps Foundation. I am grateful to have had this opportunity. My work history includs working in a hospital environment. This experience opened my eyes and heart to the realization of just how many individuals need care, direction and compassion. Through the Christina Phipps Foundation I hope I can bring a sense of joy and compassions to those in need. I invite you to share along beside me through this journey. One day I aspire to develop classes for those that cannot hear and or see as yoga should be accessible to all.
True knowledge of the self begins when one allows the mind and the body to melt into one.
